You sign in with your feederism.org account — the same one you use on the main site. If you're already logged in there, you'll be logged in here automatically; there's no separate forum password to remember.
Why it's set up this way: one account, fewer passwords, and it keeps the community to real, verified members.
On privacy (it matters here more than most places):
- We keep what we store about you to a minimum — essentially your account and what you choose to post.
- No third-party trackers, and no photo uploads anywhere — avatars are picked from a built-in set of shapes and colours, so a face can never end up here by habit.
- Your name here is a pseudonym. Pick a username that isn't linked to you elsewhere and nothing on a public page connects back to you.
- Public discussions are readable by anyone, including search engines — that's a deliberate choice, so the person quietly searching these questions at 2am finds real conversations instead of silence. Write with that in mind: the words are public, the person stays protected.
- Want extra distance on a particular post? Members can post anonymously — your name is hidden on that post.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or to have your account and posts deleted, at any time — just email clair@feederism.org.
The full privacy policy at feederism.org/privacy-policy covers the whole site, this forum included — down to exactly which legal bases we rely on and why. Any question about your data, just ask — we'd rather over-explain than leave you guessing.
Updated July 2026: an earlier version of this post said the forum wasn't indexed by search engines. That has changed — public discussions are now open to search, so people who need these conversations can find them. Pseudonyms, text-only, no-photos, and anonymous posting are all unchanged, and if you'd like anything of yours edited or removed as part of this change, one email does it.
